Booking Confirmation, Deposit and Cancellation

A booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received and these booking terms have been accepted. Deposits are non-refundable except in circumstances of force majeure. The facilitator remains responsible for payment of all agreed booking fees according to the payment schedule provided at the time of booking. If a facilitator needs to cancel or amend a booking, they should contact Mucklagh Lodge as soon as possible.
Facilitator Responsibilities and Insurance

The facilitator is responsible for ensuring they have appropriate event insurance, including public liability insurance where relevant, to cover the activities, services, teaching, instruction, and practices they provide during their retreat. The facilitator is responsible for ensuring that all participants receive appropriate information regarding the retreat schedule, activities, requirements, safety considerations, and any risks associated with participation. The facilitator remains responsible for the supervision, conduct, and wellbeing of their participants throughout the retreat.
Use of Mucklagh Lodge and Participant Numbers

The facilitator agrees that Mucklagh Lodge, its accommodation, facilities, grounds, equipment, and contents will be treated with care and respect. The number of people including facilitators and staff staying at Mucklagh Lodge must not exceed 21. The facilitator is responsible for ensuring participants comply with these terms and any reasonable instructions provided by Mucklagh Lodge.
Damage, Loss and Breakages

The facilitator accepts responsibility for any damage, loss, theft, or excessive cleaning costs caused by members of their group during their stay. Any damage or loss must be reported to Mucklagh Lodge as soon as possible. The facilitator agrees to cover reasonable costs arising from damage, loss, repairs, or additional cleaning required as a result of their group’s use of the property.

Sauna, Plunge Pool and Facilities

Use of the sauna, plunge pool, and other facilities must be carried out responsibly and in accordance with any safety guidance provided by Mucklagh Lodge. The facilitator is responsible for ensuring participants are aware of appropriate use and any relevant safety considerations. Participants should not use facilities if they have any health concerns that may make use unsuitable without seeking appropriate medical advice.
Noise, Parties and Respect for the Area

Mucklagh Lodge is a retreat venue intended for wellbeing, educational, and restorative activities. It is not suitable for parties, disruptive events, excessive noise or illegal activity. The facilitator agrees to ensure that participants respect the peaceful nature of the property and surrounding area.
Pets are not permitted unless agreed in advance with Mucklagh Lodge.
Parking is provided on the property at the user’s own risk. Mucklagh Lodge accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought onto the property.
The facilitator agrees to follow any reasonable instructions provided by Mucklagh Lodge relating to safety, maintenance, facilities, and respectful use of the property. These terms are intended to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful experience for retreat organisers, participants, Mucklagh Lodge, and the surrounding community. It is the responsibility of the facilitator to communicate these instructions to the participants.
Smoking, Fire, Candles and Open Flames

The facilitator must arrive before participants and must be the last person to leave at the end of the retreat. The facilitator is responsible for ensuring participants are aware of arrival and departure arrangements. Mucklagh Lodge should be left in a clean condition at the end of the stay, with all equipment returned to its original place. Facilitators should collect any items left behind by guests before leaving.
The facilitator is responsible for the activities, teaching, and practices delivered during the retreat. Participants should take appropriate care when using the surrounding natural environment, including walking routes and outdoor areas, taking into account weather conditions, terrain, and their own abilities. Participants taking part in activities organised by the facilitator do so under the guidance and responsibility of the facilitator.

Smoking is not permitted inside Mucklagh Lodge. Candles, incense, open flames, or similar items may only be used with prior approval from Mucklagh Lodge and must be used safely and responsibly. Any additional fire safety requirements communicated by Mucklagh Lodge must be followed.
